Resist the Trump-MAGA agenda
The extreme policies of the Trump agenda are scary – but we are determined to fight back! Although as a candidate, Trump tried to distance himself from Project 2025, the new administration and the Republican party are clearly using Project 2025 as their playbook. Learn more about Project 2025 here: https://democracyforward.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/2024-05_Peoples-Guide-Pro-2025.pdf
Our county party’s primary focus is on finding good candidates to run against local extremists who embrace Project 2025. If that is of interest to you, scroll down to the next section.
If your focus is more on pushing back against actions of Trump and his MAGA allies and holding all of our elected officials accountable, check out these opportunities;

Adopt a Local Board or Commission
Knowledge is power! Choose a local board or commission and find out what’s happening by attending meetings in person or virtually. Get a couple of friends to join you and take turns. You don’t need to speak. Just be present – observe, listen, and learn. If you encounter any issues of concern, email Chair@jcdemocrats.org.
Donate to your local Democratic Party!
The Jackson County Democratic Party has NO paid staff, and we receive NO financial assistance from the national party and very little from the state party. Our operating expenses are modest. Our major expenditures are primarily in support of local Democrats who step up to run for elected office. We hope you’ll agree that supporting them is worth your investment!
We invite you to become a Grassroots Donor to help us keep basic operations going while building capacity for our organizing efforts. Currently, we have nearly 50 individuals who are Grassroots Donors. They make monthly donations from $5 to $50 (there is no upper limit). Our goal for 2025 is to double our base of Grassroots Donors. Join us – any amount helps!
Please consider becoming a Grassroots Donor to support our work.
Become a Neighborhood Leader!
You can have a profound impact on election outcomes by getting the Democrats in your neighborhood to turn out in every election – and vote every race. Get the scoop here.
Please note that NLP is one of the big reasons we were able to stave off some extreme candidates in the 2025 school board election. Contact us as soon as possible so we can get you set up with a neighborhood and provide you with training.
Ask us about other ways to get involved!
You’ll find our contact information at the top of this page. And, if you have idea for a way you can help our local party, we’d love to hear from you!
